When someone calls you up and asks you about a product or service it is exciting. This is clearly someone who has interest in what you do.

It can also be frustrating if you are busy, if your mind is elsewhere or if your product/service needs to be “shown” rather than talked about.

A great way to handle this is by using a website called SlideShare.net. SlideShare allows you to upload your Powerpoint (Microsoft) or your Keynote (Apple) slides to their site and view them as full screen presentations from anywhere in the world.

Imagine next time someone calls you up to talk about a product or service you ask them “Are you in front of your internet?” (which they most likely are), then you direct them to your Slide Presentation while you talk them through it.

This has a four main benefits:
It engages people in a visual and auditory way.
It focusses you in on the conversation and gives you a format to follow.
It extends the amount of time that you talk (See my blog – The 7 Hour Rule)
It allows you to use graphs, carts or emotive images to make your point more powerfully.

This one strategy alone will lift your conversions substantially if you use it correctly.
